There truly are not enough great words to describe this school. The words that come to mind are: Family, Friendship, Loyalty, and Quality.
Family. Once you step through the door, you are part of the Gracie Barra Pasadena family. It’s not fake or feigned, it’s real. From top to bottom every person is happy to have you there and treat you as such. Friendship. Some of my best friendships have been forged on the mat. The training is appropriately tough, the environment is positive, and going through it together produces great bonds. Loyalty. You are treated as a person, not a number. All of the coaches are truly invested in your improvement and will go out of their way to make sure your experience is the best possible.
Quality. The facility is top notch and always kept in very clean condition. Of course, if you are looking at a jiu jitsu school you want to know “how good are they?” Look no further. This is not a McDojo. Coach (soon to be professor) Orlando is the real deal. He won double gold at the Brazilian Nationals as a brown belt. He is constantly training with, and learning from the best MMA and jiu jitsu fighters in the world and he passes that knowledge on to us as only he can. He is always positive and energetic and makes everyone around him better.
